As a Sylvian franchisee, you can be certain that you will have the support of our knowledgeable and supportive team. Initially, this includes the templates and guidance you may require to develop a personal business plan, raise finance and launch your business.

‘Finance was an area that I needed guidance and reassurance in. The team at Sylvian couldn’t have been more supportive. It really made a difference to me at the beginning.’

  • Cristina Grancea QFP

    CEO/Founder

Hi, I'm Cristina Grancea, the CEO and Founder of Sylvian Care. With a background in social care, I hold a Social Work degree, a Psychology Masters, and advanced qualifications in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care, as well as coaching.

In 2014, my brother Silviu and I started Sylvian Care as a domiciliary care service for seniors in Reading and Wokingham. Our dedication transformed it into a £2 million business, and by 2019, we expanded into a franchise model. Today, Sylvian Care operates in over 30 locations nationwide and is one of the UK's fastest-growing care franchises.

Despite personal challenges, including being a single mother, my commitment to excellence earned me nominations for Inspirational Women in Franchising of the Year in 2022 and the Qualified Franchise Professional certification in 2023. My goal is to position Sylvian Care as a global leader in relationship-based care.

  • Emma Chappell QFP

    Head of Franchise Recruitment

Hi, I'm Emma Chappell, the Head of Franchise Recruitment at Sylvian Care. I hold a Marketing Degree and have worked in various commercial roles across retail, property, and adult learning. In 2019, I discovered my passion for franchising and have been an advocate for it ever since.

My extensive knowledge of the industry earned me the Qualified Franchise Professional certification in May 2022. I've successfully overseen the establishment of more than 95 new and resale franchises, with Sylvian being the 9th brand I've helped develop.

I understand that investing in a franchise is a significant and often nerve-wracking decision. My goal is to ensure complete transparency around the Sylvian business opportunity. I take pride in presenting our business model clearly and straightforwardly, helping potential investors decide if it's the right fit for them.

  • Dan Glickman

    Head of Business Support

Hi, I'm Dan Glickman, the Head of Business Support at Sylvian Care. My career has spanned local government, co-operative societies, the private sector, and entrepreneurial ventures.

In operational management roles, I've led call centre functions and non-clinical aspects of a private hospital, honing my leadership and process improvement skills. With a background in IT, I've excelled in senior IT operational management, overseeing teams of various sizes.

For the past six years, I've coached and nurtured franchisees through their growth journey. My focus is on people, processes, service, and support, with expertise in leadership, recruitment, process design, negotiation, customer service, and sales.

Having operated my own franchised business for twelve years, I've experienced the challenges of business ownership firsthand.

  • Jayne Kinsella

    Head of Quality & Compliance

Hi, I'm Jayne Kinsella, the Head of Quality & Compliance at Sylvian Care. With 30 years in the care sector, my focus has always been on delivering high-quality, person-centred care that truly makes a difference.

My journey began as a Registered Manager and transitioned into a decade-long career in quality and compliance. I've also worked with a local authority-funded charity. Before joining Sylvian in March 2025, I spent five years with an international care franchisor, supporting 70 franchise offices in delivering outstanding care.

My passion for outcome-focused, relationship-led care led me to earn a Level 7 qualification in Coaching and Mentoring, which helps propel care teams towards excellence. I find great satisfaction in supporting Owners and Registered Managers to set the gold standard for compassionate care.

On a personal note, I believe a sense of humour is essential in this industry (and in life!). At home, I'm kept on my toes by my two children, a rescue Springer Spaniel, two gerbils, and my husband—in that order!

  • Chris Mitchell

    Systems Support Officer

Hi, I'm Chris Mitchell, Systems Support Officer at Sylvian Care. I have a broad background in various care services and hold a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care.

I joined Sylvian Care in 2016 as the Registered Manager of the Reading and Wokingham branch and transitioned to the franchising team in 2021. Now, as the Systems Support Specialist, I oversee IT and processes while completing Microsoft 365 qualifications to further enhance my skills.

With my unique blend of care management experience and technical proficiency, I play a pivotal role in supporting our franchise partners with administrative processes.
